Flipping the script.
We've watched this video many times--and it still gives me chills! What happens here is such a metaphor for life. Talk about a BIG mistake! He dropped the ball but didn't quit. He went back to pick it up and started running and kept going, going, going until he made the touchdown--104 yards of perseverance, and his team had his back! ๐ค๐ผ ๐ฅ
He turned his perceived mistake into an unfair advantage.๐

โก๏ธ I don't have enough experience.
Most of us don't start our first job out of college with tons of experience. Instead of worrying about checking all the boxes for that job, ask yourself: "What can I do to learn or get that experience?" "What are the steps I will take to get there?" As long as you are clear about your skills and experience and confidently share your plan for learning what you need, you will be considered a proactive problem-solver.๐
โก๏ธ I don't fit in.
We all know the power of diversity and leaning into what makes you unique. Your unique strengths, perspective, experience, and skills are what you can lean into and what organizations need to succeed. Remember Google Glass? The device started at $1,500. It was expensive, had limited functionality, and was not-so-appealing to the mass market. Even in Silicon Valley, where there are lots of people who could afford it, it failed.๐ฎ Having more unique perspectives in that marketing room would have been helpful. Your voice matters. And your uniqueness is your superpower!๐ช๐ผ๐ฆธ๐ปโโ๏ธ
